Salter Square is a community of 183 town homes located at the south-east corner of Beaverbrook, the first and oldest neighbourhood in Kanata. Beaverbrook is known for its hedged houses and community facilities and is also home to Canadian businessman Terry Matthews.
These attractive Campeau-built town homes were built in 1975 and are surrounded by an abundance of green space, mature trees and walking paths. Other features include a children’s play structure and the popular outdoor swimming pool. Several raised-bed gardens have sprouted up for the veggie-loving green thumbs in the community.
Salter Square is conveniently located near the 417 and OC Transpo Park-and-Ride facilities. Within walking distance, you will find a library, arena, Senior’s Centre, Art Gallery, high schools, elementary schools, churches, Centrum Mall, theatres, restaurants and much more.
For walking and cycling enthusiasts, access to the NCC pathway is right at our backdoor, taking you from Kanata to Carling Avenue, Moodie Drive and beyond.
Residents of Salter Square include families, empty-nesters, couples and singles from all walks of life, with a variety of skills, hobbies and interests.
Salter Square is managed by Condominium Management Group (CMG).
What is a condominium?
In a condominium, each individual owner owns (holds title to) a specific unit and all unit owners own a share in the common property.
A Condominium Corporation is an association of the unit owners. The role of the Board of Directors of Carleton Condominium Corporation #77 (CCC#77) is to manage the property, which includes the units and the common property.
The Condominium Act states that the Corporation (the Board of Directors) has the following duties:
to manage the property and the assets of the Corporation;
to administer the financial matters of the Corporation;
to repair and maintain the common elements;
to employ necessary professional services;
to maintain appropriate insurance;
to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Ontario Condominium Act, 1998, the Declaration, the bylaws and the rules and regulations.
