Looking forward to pool season? The pool will be open from June 29 to September 3. NEWS FLASH! The pool management company has asked that we have all children 12 and under accompanied by an adult.
WARNING! A very large coyote was seen on May 11 walking the ridge in the green space across from 152 Salter Square. We have had a number of sightings over the past year. Please keep a close eye on your children!
Gardening season is here
Within our community there is a small group of avid gardeners and there is always room for more. If you would like to try your hand at vegetable gardening, consider a manageable 4’ x 8’ raised bed. Successful crops of various veggies have been grown over the past years. Come and join in the fun, exercise and satisfaction of growing your own food. Here’s a list of some of the bounty: tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, beans, rhubarb, carrots, herbs, kale, chard, onions, potatoes, asparagus, garlic, melons, peppers, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, squash...you name it, it’s been grown.
There are currently two raised garden beds available located in the area behind units 213 and 214. They have been maintained by the original gardeners who are asking only a nominal fee to recoup the original costs incurred for building the beds. For details on raised bed gardening in Salter, please contact the Board.
Topsoil still available! Each year, we provide topsoil for residents to use. We also have wheelbarrows available. Please contact a Board member to make arrangements.

Carbon Monoxide Detectors -- If you have any gas appliances, you MUST now have a CO detector installed in your home. Ontario’s Fire Code has been amended to include new requirements for installation and maintenance of CO Detectors in homes with gas or fuel-burning appliances and with attached garages. Carbon monoxide alarms can be hardwired, battery-operated or plugged into the wall. See more at: http://www.oafc.on.ca/carbon-monoxide
