We are holding a second Garage Sale on Saturday, August 28th, 2010 from 8 am to 1 pm – Rain or Shine

Feel free to set up near your house or bring your stuff out to the main field.

Community BBQ/Corn Roast
5:30 pm

Face Painting

Outdoor Kids Movie
Starting at dusk

We are finalizing the movies, but there will be 2.
Could be Aliens in the Attic for the 1st movie, and The Karate Kid (2010) for the second.
If you have other options, feel free to email Eric Malenfant and Lisa Adams

Bring your Chairs, Blankets, Popcorn, Drinks and of course the kids!
All evening events will be held in the parking lot beside 204 Salter Crescent.

In addition to the rules, here are the hours:

2010 Pool Schedule:
Open: 10:30 am
Lifeguard Break: 4:30 pm – 5:00 pm – Closed for 30 Minutes.
Adult Swim: 8:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Closing: 8:30 pm

Salter detectives needed! The City is currently tracking reports of sloppy garbage collection at Salter. Let the City know if you’re seeing particularly poor performance in your area: mess left behind, garbage cans thrown onto snow banks. Call 311 to report any problems; they seem interested in resolving these issues.

Food Drive 2009 – A Great Success!!

Once again the residents of Salter Square have opened their hearts with contributions to the Salter Square Food Drive in support of the Kanata Food Cupboard. Food and dry good products overfilled three grocery carts along with $160 in cheque and cash donations. These contributions were thankfully received at the Kanata Food Cupboard depot and will help in stocking the shelves during this very busy season.
